Specific minimum qualifications are required for admission to certain programs.

These may include:

• Completion of designated courses with required minimum grade
• Attainment of minimum cumulative GPA
• Completion of high school diploma or GED
• Required number of observation or volunteer hours

In a selective admission program, students must complete minimum admission requirements before applying — and only the top-performing students are accepted.

Tri-C does not offer selective admission programs. Rather, programs with specific admission requirements guarantee admission to all students who complete those requirements, whenever they complete them. This is considered “rolling admission.”

A prerequisite is a course that you must successfully complete in order to register for a higher-level course.

You must earn an A, B, C or P (pass) grade to successfully complete a prerequisite course.
